John and Bryony Crippen have been together for 8 years and now have 2 beautiful daughters together, 5 year old Chloe and 2 year old Frankie.

John started riding as soon as he could walk along with his brothers Simon and Matt. John started as a young boy at pony club and then progressed all the way through to becoming a full time showjumper.

John had a successful pony career winning a couple of major Grand Prix classes. Moving on to horses John has been successful with younger horses qualifying for HOYS, London International and Hickstead multiple times. John qualified 6yr old Bennys Kelly for the Young Horse Finals in Lanaken 2022. John has also had success with older horses winning at 5* level Nationally and Internationally.

Bryony started riding when she was young at her mothers large riding school. Similarly to John she took showjumping seriously from a young age. Bryony had lots of success riding for a busy dealing yard where she won many competitions on tricky horses. Bryony then went to work for Simon Crippen (Johns brother) to help with his young horses. Once she returned home, Bryony set up on her own and success came quickly when she won two National finals and also having success at other Internationally.

When John and Bryony met, they joined Forces and set up together at John’s yard. This was the start of JB Crippen Showjumping.
